Green Lantern 3D

Post by sarahwhithers » Tue Jun 21, 2011 9:11 pm

Well, I'm in love with Ryan Reynolds, so of course I had to see this one! haha! I wasn't actually expecting a lot from it, just a general superhero movie, and that's pretty much what it was. Although a little better than I had expected. The 3D looked great (as did Ryan), he did a great job portraying an human who didn't know if he was ready for a superhero life. Blake Lively plays his love interest in this and she did great as well. Overall, I'd say see it if you like superhero movies, otherwise save it for a rent, but I think you'll enjoy it either way. Just don't go into it expecting a blockbuster.

synopsis: In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal
Jordan (Ryan Reynolds). Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before.

I'm so sorry I missed seeing this in 3D because I loved it! It's a worthy super-hero movie and Ryan Reynolds was fantastic as The Green Lantern. This film had better pacing than Captain America, I would say, excellent casting and great effects.
