So sad

Post by Gail R » Tue Jul 16, 2019 9:29 pm

ūüė™ Daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters had to go home yesterday.¬† They live in Oregon, and we only get to see them about once a year.¬† We did have an awesome 16 day visit, though.¬† My house is so very quiet.¬† It's going to take us a week or so to get back to our everyday life.¬† I'd go visit them once a month if it wasn't so expensive.

Gail,
I am so sorry that you only get to see them once a year.  That has to be so hard. I don't know if this will help, it's just an idea. Make a scrapbook album with lots of journaling highlighting the things you all did. I also write a letter on the inside cover of my albums to each of my love ones and express how much fun we had and how I feel about them. Whenever your family comes to visit again, you can give them the album and look at it together. Also, when you finish the album, you can mail it to them if you prefer. My grandkids love reading the letters I write to them  and I'm sure yours would also.

I am glad you were able to get a 16 day visit but it is too bad it is so expensive to travel so that can't see them more.
